Supercharged snacks: how the bars stack up

Article Abstract:

Energy snack bars have become popular. The carbohydrates in these bars do not convert to energy any more quickly than other foods do, and many are relatively high in calories. A healthful diet would include fresh fruit instead of a snack bar. Nutritional content of six bars are compared.
