Synthetic enamel repairs early carious lesion

Article Abstract:

The research on the development of a crystalline white paste of modified hydroxyapatite containing fluoride for the treatment of carious lesion, that is chemically and structurally similar to natural enamel and developed by Japanese researchers Kazue Yamagishi and colleagues is discussed.

Assessing the effect of fluoride varnish on early enamel carious lesions in the primary dentition

Article Abstract:

A fluoride varnish on teeth can prevent and even reverse the early stages of tooth decay in children, according to a study of 142 children. The varnish is safe and easy to apply and may eliminate the need for fillings.
