T cells bite the hand that feeds them

Article Abstract:

Interaction with professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs), recruits T cells into the battle against pathogens. The recruitment phase that is short and terminates when newly activated T cells kill the activating APCs is shown by a new study.

Embedding T cells in the matrix

The memory T cells in peripheral tissues such as lungs lie in wait, ready to attach the pathogens that reinvades the body. The role of very late antigen (GammaLA-1) in retention and survival CD8(super +) T cells is presented.

Fatal attraction: Tumors beckon regulatory T cells

Article Abstract:

Tumor tissue and ascites from patients with ovarian cancer contain high level of cells with the regulatory T cells. In a process mediated by the chemokine CCL22 T cells migrate into the tumor and suppress antitumor responses.
