TCE treatment pasta-bilities

Article Abstract:

Issues discussed concern the technology used to combat soil pollution, focusing on a process called "Lasagna" that removes trichloroethylene (TCE) contamination. "Lasagna" works by using electricity to move contaminants through layers of treatment technology, and the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of this process is examined.

The removal of mercury from dental-operatory wastewater by polymer treatment

Article Abstract:

The efficacy of two polymers for removing mercury (Hg) contaminants from the dental office wastewater stream has been tested in a preliminary study. Each polymer used separately took out 74.9-88.4% of the Hg. In combination within the recommended pH range 99.9% of the Hg was removed.
