Article Abstract:

An overview of the 1998 World AIDS Campaign held in Moscow is presented. The impact this disease has had on the youth are discussed as well as some statistics facing the country. Nearly sixty percent of people infected by HIV are between the ages of 18 and 30 within the Russian Frderation. The country's social policy and the attitudes of its residents towards this disease are given.

Health-promoting hospitals

Article Abstract:

The health-promoting hospital concept was started in 1988 by a group at the WHO regional office. Since then several directives have been issued and many hospitals, especially in Europe, have become health-promoting hospitals. The goals and objectives, and the strategies of such hospitals are discussed.
