Ten ways to kill your practice

Article Abstract:

Health care providers must treat patients, staff, and colleagues with respect for their practices to thrive. Not listening to patients will make them seek care providers who show concern, while staff who are ignored or treated badly will seek new positions. Patients who are criticized before staff, always seen late or made to wait, and told about personal problems will also find other providers. Bragging about how money is saved or spent may make patients and staff question a provider's ethics. Unfair or poor billing practices and alienating referrals will also drive business to other providers.
