The ABC transporter Bcrp1/ABCG2 is expressed in a wide variety of stem cells and is a molecular determinant of the side-population phenotype

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the stem cells from the bone marrow, skeletal muscle and other tissues. Results indicate that the Bcrp1/ABCG2 gene expression is a stem cell conserved feature from different sources.

Microarrays- the 21st century divining rod

Article Abstract:

The authors discuss artificial neural networks. The use of these networks in deciphering gene-expression signature collected with the DNA microarrays and classifying cancer into different categories is discussed.

Classification and diagnostic prediction of cancers using gene expression profiling and artificial neural networks

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the cancer classification. The method for classifying cancers to the specific diagnostic categories which is based on the gene expression has been developed via the use of the artificial neural networks and the results are presented.
