Article Abstract:

Animal studies have validated the observation on "'roid rage", showing synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid use increases aggressive behavior. This is due to the concentration of the the neuropeptide arginine vasopressin, a by-product of the steroid's metabolism, in the hypothalamus.

Bodybuilding requires the intake of the proper proportions of protein, carbohydrates and fat, to supply the necessary nutrients for muscle growth. Food intake should be done throughout the day, peaking before periods of strenuous activities and decreasing as resting the body nears.
