The invisible intruders

Article Abstract:

Hearing voices can be triggered by past emotional episodes, which have been unresolved. Sufferers can be very frightened by voices, which appear as an unwelcome intruder. Voices often focus on negative issues, leaving the patient feeling angry and guilty. Teaching people to accept and control their voices can help people to lead a normal life. Some people deal with voices without ever having psychiatric help, but there appears to be no correlation between patients who can cope and those who can not.
