The ups & downs of yo-yo dieting

Article Abstract:

Laboratory experiments in rats have shown that yo-yo dieting increases lipogenesis, which increases body fat in spite of dieting. A gradual reduction of calorie intake plus heavy resistance training can help avoid weight cycling.

Citrulline combats fatigue

Article Abstract:

Clinical trials on animals showed the metabolic intermediate citrulline helping muscles overcome fatigue in muscle contraction tests. Citrulline is a metabolic intermediate of urea metabolism.
