Total opacification of intraocular lens implant after uncomplicated cataract surgery

Article Abstract:

Total opacification that is optic and haptic of a single-piece acrylic hydrophilic intraocular lens (IOL) in five cases, where the AquaSense IOL was used is reported. The results reveal that in two other cases, the initial diagnosis was posterior capsular opacity and in one patient who had diabetes it was thought to be nonresolving vitreous hemorrhage.

Immediate postoperative use of a topical agent to prevent intraocular pressure elevation after pars plana vitrectomy with gas tamponade

Article Abstract:

The effect on intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation by the immediate application of single topical aqueous suppressant after pars plana vitrectomy with long-acting gas tamponade is examined. The significant postoperative IOP elevation at 5 hours and 1 day after surgery is prevented by the application of a single topical aqueous suppressant.

Changes in astigmatism after congenital cataract surgery and intraocular lens implantation: a comparative study

Article Abstract:

The changes in astigmatism occurring without suture removal after cataract surgery and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in children with cataract are examined. The extraction of congenital cataract and IOL implantation in children with cataract resulted in a significant spontaneous reduction in astigmatism postoperatively.
