Understanding your cancer diagnosis: what you need to know

Article Abstract:

There are more than 100 types of cancer which are named according to the type of tissue they develop from. The most common groups of cancer are carcinoma, sarcoma, and lymphoma and leukemia. Carcinoma develops from cells covering the body, such as the skin. Sarcoma occurs in connective tissues such as bones and muscles. Lymphoma starts in lymph glands of the immune system.
