Using restorations borne totally be anterior implants to preserve the edentulous mandible

Article Abstract:

A denture supported by implants in the lower jaw bone appears to spare the jaw bone from destruction. Normally, dentures cause the lower jaw bone to erode. Researchers followed for up to three years 33 patients who were given dentures supported by implants in the lower jaw bone. Careful tooth measurements revealed that over 80% of the patients experienced bone regeneration rather than erosion.

Immediate loading of dental implants in the edentulous mandible

Article Abstract:

The literature regarding immediate implant loading in the anterior mandible is reviewed and the technique developed to provide a bar-supported prosthesis on the day of surgery is discussed. The results show that patients get immediate prosthetic restorations and a decreased treatment time compared with the traditional two-stage implant approach.
