Virginia law on doctor discipline casts wider net

Article Abstract:

A law signed by the governor in March 2003 states that the physicians in Virginia would be subject to discipline for lesser forms of misconduct, but would be allowed in some cases to avoid public discipline. The legislation was activated after state audit and media reports highlighted problem doctors who practiced without losing their licenses.
