Voters and health care in the 2006 election

Article Abstract:

A survey conducted among potential American voters rated the importance of health care issues in the upcoming congressional 2006 elections below that of the economy, the Iraq war, and terrorism. The survey data suggested that although Americans are worried about the state of health care in the US and rising cost of their own health insurance, national security and the economy are the issues to play a dominant role in determining the outcome of the 2006 congressional elections.

The integral role of clinical research in clinical care

Article Abstract:

It may be difficult to separate individualized medical care from what most patients experience when they enroll in a clinical trial. The fact is that many of the patients receive a drug that doctors believe may benefit all patients with the disease. Many states have also passed laws requiring insurance companies to pay for the treatment received in a clinical trial.
