"We can no longer blame the quality of hospital food for malnutrition in hospitals"

Article Abstract:

Nurses play an important role in reducing the estimated cost to the NHS of treating malnutrition by ensuring that all patients receive the required nutritional care through proper assistance that the patients need to eat. However, this is hampered since nurses are too busy taking care of the normal activities in the ward, such as, drug rounds and ward rounds. Hence, the quality of hospital food can no longer be blamed for malnutrition and steps must be taken to ensure that food is eaten and that patients receive the assistance they require.
