We need to make involvement accessible to public

A new NHS National Centre for involvement was launched to promote the involvement of the public in all stages of research and development in healthcare. Patients and public are very important to research as they can help in identifying and prioritizing research topics, informing research design and participating in spreading out the message through research.

Analysing qualitative research data using computer software

Article Abstract:

An increasing number of clinical nurses are carrying out qualitative research and it is therefore important that they become aware of the possibilities of using qualitative data analysis software packages. The advantages and disadvantages of using computer software packages to manage and analyze qualitative data are discussed.

We need funding for qualitative research

Article Abstract:

Researchers in the United Kingdom need funding to do qualitative as well as quantitative cancer research. Money needs to go to true medical research and not to fund pharmaceutical industry and other commercial research.
