Unspeakably cruel-torture, medical ethics, and the law

Article Abstract:

The U.S. laws and the U.S. Supreme Court have made decisions relevant to torture during wartime. The controversy over physician's roles in the torture of prisoners at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo bay is discussed by arguing that physicians have a special responsibility to prevent and report to torture.

Overbilling vs. down coding - The battle between physicians and insurers

Article Abstract:

Federal appeals court as of September 2004 has upheld a class-action lawsuit filed by the insurance companies on behalf of the physicians. The physicians are accused of driving up costs and exploiting the insurance companies by over charging their service.
