Article Abstract:

Barnardo's Orchard project, Newcastle upon Tyne has developed education courses for health professionals on bereavement. Courses have developed from the project's work in bereavement counselling for families and young people. Ten week courses are held at Newcastle University, England covering bereavement theory, case studies and counselling. Courses are designed to meet the individual needs of participants.

Changing behaviour through relocation

Article Abstract:

The experiences gained from moving four people with severe learning difficulties into a community home are discussed. It was found that all participants showed significant improvements in their ability to communicate. Those who managed the project felt that more attention should have been given to group dynamics.

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the measures taken by the National Health Service i GReat Britain to promote racial diversity and equality within the medical system are discussed. Particular attention is given to strategies promoting equality developed by the Community Health Sheffield NHS Trust.
