Information technology management: a knowledge-based perspective

Article Abstract:

Important matters related to the inter-organizational transfer of knowledge through computer and telecommunication systems were investigated based on new strategies for knowledge management. The different types of knowledge produced and exchanged within corporate organizations were compared, including the particular problems of knowledge management which ensue. It was observed that various kinds of Information and Communication Technology systems, which can handle various types of information and data, can be used for transferring various types of knowledge.

Fostering synergies between information technology and managerial and organizational cognition: the role of knowledge management

Article Abstract:

The importance of knowledge management in encouraging a synergistic interdependence between information technology and managerial and organization cognition was investigated. Classical cognition theories and recent empirical evidence were synthesized with knowledge management applications to come up with an organizational knowledge management model, called the Organizational Cognition Spiral, and tool for comprehending and bolstering managerial and organization cognition.

The strategic management of technological learning in project/program management: the role of extranets, intranets and intelligent agents in knowledge generation, diffusion, and leveraging

Article Abstract:

A conceptual framework was formulated which guides managers and organizations on ways of managing and transfering knowledge. The framework, which can be operationalized through the use of emerging information technology tools and infrastructures, possesses real and virtual components at the individual, intra- and inter-organizational levels. It acts as an organizational knowledge management network and depends both on knowledge and meta-knowledge.
