Bouchard, Lucien

Article Abstract:

Bouchard is Quebec's leading advocate for secession from Canada. He served as ambassador to France from 1985 to 1988. Later on, he won a legislative position and was appointed secretary of state. He left Prime Minister Brian Mulroney's cabinet after a dispute, and founded the Quebec Bloc.
