Cynthia Kenyon, Geneticist and biotechnology executive

The work of geneticist Cynthia Kenyon has helped to redefine the way that scientists understand the process of aging. She was one of the speakers at the 50th-aniversary celebration of the discovery of DNA, held in Cambridge, England, and served as a president of the Genetics Society of America in 2004.

Ruth Behar, anthropologist, poet, and filmmaker

Ruth Behar, an anthropologist, started her work with experimental forms of ethnography, including autobiographical materials in her work. Apart from being an anthropologist, she started making documentary films in the year 1999 and has published several collections of poetry.
