Patricia A. Woertz is the first-ever female chief executive officer of the Illinois-based Archer Daniels Midland Co., one of the world's largest agricultural processors and producers of biofuels. She was ranked fourth on the list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business in 2006 by the Fortune magazine and serves on the boards of the American Petroleum Institute, the California Chamber of Commerce, the University of San Diego, and the Smeal College of Business.
