A new idea for stamp albums, books and exhibits

Article Abstract:

There are so many stamps issued today that it is costly for a child beginning to collect to know where to start. Use of a topical aid such as the APA's catalog on women stamp issues could form the basis for study of a topic such as women's global status, and also focus the collection.

A modest proposal for stamp catalogs

Article Abstract:

Americans consult stamp catalogs from the Ohio-based Scott Publishing Co. Collectors in the UK and other countries have their own catalogs. A useful reform would be to have a catalog published which would list the most valuable stamps from several countries with comparative prices.
