How a stamp club decided stamp issuing policy

Article Abstract:

When Zimbabwe was the colony Southern Rhodesia, it issued its own stamps. In 1923, an issue of stamps were criticized because of design, so it was decided to redo the issue. Changes suggested by the Philatelist Society were accepted marking the first time a stamp club had advised a postal service.

Tips are provided on how to prepare a postage stamp collection for selling. Mounts are discussed. Testing hinges before using them to see if they peel easily, and knowing when not to use hinges is important. Hints are given on how to choose the right type of album to display all of the stamps.

Tools of the trade for philatelic exhibitors

Article Abstract:

Selecting the correct page type for a stamp catalog is important for the collector, but other tools are equally as important. These include positioning or measuring devices such as rulers. Heavy steel gauge ones with cork bases are recommended. Other tools such as pens, are described.
