FLATBED SCANNER ROUNDUP

Article Abstract:

A flatbed scanner is a substitute for putting photo images into a computer without the benefit of a digital camera. Eleven scanners, under $700, are evaluated here for digitizing quality, ease-of-use, image resolution, and utility software. Their only limitation is that they do not reproduce slides or 35mm negatives as respectable images. These devices are best used for scanning color prints. The best is the Agfa AgfaScan T1200.
