Idar meets California

Article Abstract:

Southwestern Germany's Idar-Oberstein and northern California's San Rafael blended in the jewelry arts through Hans Ulrich Pauly and Glenn Lehrer. Both experts in engraving and jewelry arts, Pauly and Lehrer have finished four 'co-creations' which will be put on exhibit in Feb. 1996 at Tucson, AZ.

Idar, Ontario: Canadian cutters Rudi and Ralph Wobito bring a German edge to their sparkling cuts

Article Abstract:

Brothers Rudi and Ralph Wobito are master gem-cutters, and they will cut stones to the specifications of their customers as well as creating their own designs. They learned the craft from their father, who learned it in his native Germany.
