La Francophonie stamp now available

A stamp commemorating the La Francophonie on the 25th anniversary of the Agency for Cultural and Technical Corporation was issued by Canada Post Corp. on Nov. 6, 1995. La Francophonie is defined as a group of peoples who speak French or those who seek a cooperative dialogue where French is used.

Canada honors Lunenburg Academy & Manitoba Anniversary

Article Abstract:

The stamp honoring the Lunenburg Academy of Nova Scotia also pays tribute to the beginning of the Canadian Inventory of Historic Buildings. The stamp is described. Another stamp has been issued to commemorate the 125 years since Manitoba joined the confederation. The brief history is related.
