Ishikawa collection to be auctioned

The stamp collection of Ryohei Ishikawa, regarded as the finest stamp collection for sale in 30 years, will be auctioned at Christie's New York, NY, Sep 28-29, 1993. The collection will also be exhibited in London, Zurich and Southeast Asia, and features American issues from 1847 to 1869.

Christie's to auction collection of Newfoundland pence issues

The Newfoundland Pence stamps were issued between 1857-1869 and are expected to garner as much as $1.3 million. They are from the collection of a philatelist, Chan Chin Cheung of Malaysia. A description of the various stamps is given.
