Russia's new se-tenant celebrates space achievement, (docking of US craft with Russian space station)

Article Abstract:

A Russian philatelic coup was staged when stamps commemorating the 1995 Atlantis-Mir docking, and the 1975 joint flight of Apollo-Soyuz, were secretly prepared, then released minutes after the space meeting. The se tenant, or continuous design, block of four stamps depict the two events.

Bermuda celebrates 25 years of decimalization

Article Abstract:

Bermuda converted its currency from the British pound system to the dollars and cents system on Feb 6, 1970. Four stamps were issued in Feb 1995 to commemorate the change, which was made before Great Britain converted to accommodate order procedures and prevent further devaluation.

Namibia celebrates 125 years of Finnish mission

Article Abstract:

Four Christian missionaries from Finland are remembered with an issue of commemorative stamps. The four are, Martin Rautanen a gifted linguist, Albin Savola who brought printing, Karl Emanuel August Weikkolin, and the only woman honored, Selma Raino, a medical doctor.
