Samsung pokes a big nose into superzoom turf

Article Abstract:

The Samsung Maxima Zoom 145 camera has a list price of $899, but sells for about $275 in stores. The camera is well-designed for the most part, but the real-image finder has low magnification. The number of features and the placement for their operating buttons may be overwhelming to some users.

Konica's quiet Hexar: a re-appreciation

Article Abstract:

The Hexar Silver has a silver-on-black design, unlike its all-black predecessor, and lacks the silent mode in favor of faster motor operation. The Silver also has four more special modes and an upgraded lenscap. The Silver possesses the same great features and performance of the 1992 model.
