Step-by-step instructions are presented for making a Seahawk model airplane with safe wing modifications and Youngman flaps. The model can be fitted with wing-tip floats for water flying. The project is recommended for experienced modelers.

Article Abstract:

Aircraft wing flaps have evolved due to the need for slower and safer landings. Slotted flaps have made the model airplane smaller, faster and more maneuverable. Altering the flap position causes many force changes which are described.
