'Sharing is caring' - the story of the Salvation Army

Article Abstract:

The life of founder William Booth and the growth of the Salvation Army is recounted. The Salvation Army started in 1865 as the Christian Mission. In 1880 it was carried from the UK to the US. Many nations have honored The Army with postage stamp issues, including a Jul 2, 1965 issues by the US.

Girl Scouts of America

Article Abstract:

The Girl Scouts of America was established in the US by Juliette Gordon Low in 1912, then known as the Girl Guides. The US Postal Service in 1948 issued commemorative stamps honoring Girl Scout achievements, in 1962 for the groups 50th anniversary and again in 1987 for its 75th anniversary.
