The beginning of U.S. Native American issues

Article Abstract:

A US postage stamp first honored Native Americans in 1893, and many others have been issued since then. The American Indian Philatelic Society is devoted to the collection of such stamps. The most recent US Indian stamp was issued on April 17, 1993.

The listing and brief descriptions of stamps issued by the early Shanghai Postal Service continues with several more groups. There are many fakes of these first issues and collectors are warned to check the center of the designs to detect them.
