Val Skinner recieved an Award of Hope from the Cancer Institute of New Jersey for raising $ 50,000 in a single day, the largest donation ever given for breast cancer education from the golf event. She has also founded LIFE, LPGA professionals In the Fight to Eradicate breast cancer, and is further fund-raising for breast cancer research.
