Article Abstract:

Countertops are used at various places in homes, ranging from kitchens to laundry areas to family rooms, hence they need to be durable as well as attractive. Three surfaces for countertops, namely quartz, laminate and solid surfacing are believed to be best, and after comparing their performances it is found that all these surfaces are hard-wearing, design diverse, with simulations of wood, metal and stone and are available in different array of colors.

Cutting and sanding aluminum tubing

Article Abstract:

Few tips for cutting and sanding the aluminum tubing are detailed. These include to set the blade of a utility knife on the tubing, roll the tubing gently back and forth underneath the blade to score the surface, continue this, applying firm, steady downward pressure with the knife to cut through the tubing, and after cutting, sand the tubing with a 120-grit sandpaper until the ends are flat and smooth.

James Bassler

Article Abstract:

James Bassler presented six wall tapestries and one table-mounted piece at Thirteen Moons Gallery, Santa Fo, New Mexico. He created the wall tapestries on a horizontal, four-harness treadle loom, using the wedge-weave, a pre-Columbian Peruvian method.
