Creating a cutting garden

Article Abstract:

The primary purpose of a cutting garden is to produce flowers for harvesting and a modest plot of 50 to 75 square feet is sufficient to grow enough flowers to fill the house from early spring until autumn. Sowing seeds in spring for quick growing annuals like sunflowers is the least expensive way to get a cutting garden going and the plants which yield good cut flowers include aromatic aster, baby's breath, gayfeather and hyacinth.
