Divorce and remarriage: challenges and perspectives

Article Abstract:

Various studies on remarriage after divorce shows that the factors affecting remarriage include the divorced person's economic status, education, number of children and age. Divorced people usually remarry early expecting that their incomes will be pooled and thus their resources will be raised. Those with higher education have the capacity to deal better with crises and may resist remarriage. Divorced men with custody of their children usually remarry.
