Dog antiques and collectibles

Article Abstract:

Images of dogs have appeared in the cultures of many civilisations throughout time. Anthropomorphism (attributing human characteristics to an animal) can often be seen in dog antiques, especially from the Victorian age. Antiques may also be dated by virtue of the breed of dog depicted on them.
