Frames for garden views, gates also open doors for fresh design

Article Abstract:

Gates are versatile tools for a landscape designer through their ability to create style and scale in a landscape. They also create expectations of what is beyond them. A gate in a wall or hedge frames a view resulting in a charming picture on an otherwise blank wall and the illusion of a larger garden.
