Fresh herbs for a kitchen

The herb garden used for the 'Southern Living' test kitchens is began as a circular bed with a few herbs, and has grown into a large kitchen garden that includes some vegetables and berries. A successful herb garden should receive 8 hours of full sun and have well-drained soil.

Bamboos, wisteria, elaegnus and other vines can be used to support the long shoots of paperwhites. Aside from the beauty of using natural materials as stacks, they are easy to bend and twist around pots, as well.
