Article Abstract:

Windsor Homes Inc president Len Linzmeier has been the driving force behind the company's remarkable environmental consciousness. He has created guidelines to promote Windsor's commitment to recycle and reuse nearly all the materials used in building the company's houses. These include wood, vinyl siding and roofing shingles. In acknowledgement of his efforts, the National Association of Home Builders gave Linzmeier three Build America Beautiful awards.

Such education include in-store demonstrations of filtered water versus tap water, as well as utilizing continuous-loop video tapes. Filtration manufacturers and trade associations also provide hotlines for consumers.

The days when it took about three years before color trends trickled down from the catwalks of Europe and Beverly Hills to the masses are over. The advent of such affordable home decor outlets as Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel, with their displays of evolving color trends, have helped to bring color the mainstream through such items as place settings, vases and pillows.
