Article Abstract:

Leucocrinum montanum, Pusatilla pateus, Pediocactus simpsonii, Cleamtis hirustissina are some of the unique flowering perennials and bulbs, which grow around the foothills of Fort Collins. Botanist feels that these plants can be easily grown as they love dry climate and are draught tolerant once they are established.

Africa's blue lilies

Article Abstract:

The description and uses of the plants belonging to the genus Agapanthus that are native to a wide area of South Africa are given. Agapanthus africanas, an evergreen species with basal leaves that are strapped and a globe of lavender-blue flowers, is the first member of the genus Agapanthus to reach foreign shores.

Buried treasures: A dozen bulbs that should be more widely grown

Bulbs consist of large number of flowering plants that can be grown for the spring instead of growing normal daffodils and tulips as bulbs help one to make a diverse and interesting garden in spring. Allium caesium, Anemone lipsiensis, Corydalis solida are some of the bulbs that can be planted for spring.
