John and Angela Baker's fabulous dolls

Angela and John Baker continue the tradition of creating artistic dolls with intricate designs and features similar to German bisque varieties of earlier decades. Their dolls, which feature human or mohair wigs, glass paperweight eyes, and multiple joints, cost from $2000 to $8000 each.

Jill Thomas: her life and bears

Article Abstract:

An awarded teddy bear maker relates how her aunt's crazy old quilt inspired her to develop her craft. She started making bears in 1987 with her very supportive husband. Her designs such as fur bears and patchwork bears with embroidery quickly sell and win competitions.
