The ebb and flow of enforcing Executive Order 11246

Article Abstract:

The enforcement of Executive Order 11246, a presidential decree requiring federal contractors to allot a percentage of the workforce for minorities, illustrates fluctuations in the government's desire to provide equal employment opportunities. The intensity of the order's implementation suffered a decline in during Carter and Reagan's administration due to leadership problems in the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. However, the Clinton administration developed initiatives that gave priority to the decree's enforcement.

A high-protein pyramid is presented containing foods that will provide more energy while burning fat. Foods in the pyramid include unlimited quantities of vegetables and protein, three servings of fruits and one serving of free foods such as coffee, tea and condiments.
