Legacy

Article Abstract:

A daughter living in Colorado planted a garden as a tribute to her mother, similar to the English front yards her mother loved. After returning from a trip to her native England to visit her sick mother, the daughter thought about the beautiful flowers and trees and decided to transform her garden which had been full of weeds. She planted cowslips, alyssum, iris, moonflowers, and grass, and set out old-fashioned deck chairs. The daughter found happiness in her garden and a shared interest with her deceased mother.

Good-bye, yellow brick road

A person's garden can truly be a source of continuing wonder and delight. Gardens have their share of successes and failures, but the successful plantings make the whole exercise worthwhile.
