Mums and marigolds together

Article Abstract:

Marigolds bloom through fall until a hard frost, cost less, are less prone to disease and suffer less from insects than chrysanthemums. Combining marigolds with chrysanthemums creates a flashy fall display. Marigolds can also be used to replace traditional summer annuals.

The hardy gladiolus is a well known bulb often called Jacob's ladder or corn lilies in the south. The plants are often acquired through swapping with neighbors and friends. Hardy gladiolus plants yield blooms of various bright colors. Gardening tips are included.
