Opalescent glass shines for collectors
Article Abstract:
Opalescent glass containers made by English and US companies in the late 19th and early 20th centuries are becoming collectors' items that sell for as much as $28-600. They were made by fusing a colored and clear layer together and adding bone ash chemicals to create patterns on the glass.

Collectors of advertising memorabilia should turn their attention to advertising clocks. The most valuable ones are spring-wound, wood-case clocks with pendulum movements made between the 1870s and the early 1900s.
