Once upon a time... Pinocchio 1940-2005

Article Abstract:

The moment when Disney first released Pinocchio in 1940, hundreds of items were made for sale or to be given away as product premiums and presently these items are still being sought by collectors. Stills, images of Pinocchio, Gepetto, push toys, music boxes, watches, fountains pens are all some of the items produced by various companies at different times cashing in on the popularity of Pinocchio since the delightful characters who bounded to life in the film have not lost their universal appeal through the years.

Lady Liberty

Article Abstract:

Designed by the French sculptor, F. A. Bartholdi, the majestic Statue of Liberty symbolizes the spirit and soul of a great nation and in 1986, America celebrated 'Liberty Centennial Week' given a complete refurbishing at that time. The Statue of Liberty is one of the seven wonders of the world, and is believed to be the tallest metal statue standing at 152 feet and is the best selling topic as her earliest postcards were printed in the 1890s.

Santa Claus was used to sell merchandise on a large scale when he appeared on trade cards during the last couple of decades of the 19th century, but the manufacturers, distributors and merchandisers began casting Santa as the star of their print media ad campaigns in the 1980s. SantaEs advertising is found in magazines of special interest of 1920s in most of the companies and their ad agencies.
