Phillip L. Robinson collects ball jars and more

Article Abstract:

Rev. Phillip L. Robinson found a green screw-on glass lid while clearing land at his Rockville, Indiana church and ever since then he has been a collector of glass jars. As his collection grew by insurmountable numbers, he became fascinated with the variety, color, shape and history of each jar and aside from collecting, he makes jar parts for collectors needing such items by fabricating them in his home workshop with a sledgehammer using stainless steel sheets and wire.

Glass menagerie

Article Abstract:

Sources of antique oil lamps, ceramics and cookie jars are difficult to determine because of the countless number of registered manufacturers. Further, the date of fabrication, patent designation and design numbers are not enough references for tracing these firms.
